In this posting, I would like to share about a halal food joint in Singapore. It has been here since August 1999. Its is more like a food court joint. Let me introduce BANQUET. Banquet is special to us Muslim cause it mainly have all Halal food being serve. Singapore Malay Muslim have a palate for Chinese Food. Banquet had tackle the niche in getting the Chinese food prepared in a Halal way to get the pie of the food business. Indeed they had been successful. This can be measured thru their addition of branches and the franchises emerged almost everywhere.
Banquet speciality not only in providing Chinese Halal Food, they do serve western and all malay cuisine in their premises. This help if any family who came together to dine at Banquet will not have a problem in case the extended family does not know how to eat chinese food eventhough its being prepared according to Muslim rite and certified Halal by the Islamic authority in Singapore.
