It has been a week that Muslim around the world doing their duties of one of the 5 pillars of Islam and that is Fasting during the muslim calendar of Ramadhan. Nevertheless, if you intend to bring your parents along, this is the best place as older generations are not game to try other cuisines as their palate differs. Badoque - This Halal certified restaurant serve halal mediteranian, halal morrocon and halal italian food. For this Ramadhan they had introduce a iftar buffet at their premises. Its a heap for young adults to break their fast here. J's Wok & Grill - This new set up of halal restaurant is owned by Jamiyah (Islamic Society) in Singapore. The restaurant provide quite a vast cuisines from Asian to Mediteranean. For Ramadhan, they serves buffet up to 9pm. There after only ala carte being serve. For a change once in a while, why not iftar at J's Wok & Grill. With the Mid Autum Festival being celebrated, Singapore is stormed by mooncakes. Hotels promoting their mooncakes with nice packaging had been competiting with each others to win customers. Bakeries islandwide practically promoting their mooncakes with new innovation of filling and flavors.

Halal mooncake has not been thought of before then. This is because, previously it was prepared using lard for the skin.
